Happy Everything is an ongoing project I began in 2021, documenting my queer, polyamorous relationship. As a German citizen partnered with two U.S. citizens, I use my camera to explore the complexities of our constellation—capturing both the joy and the challenges of navigating politics, immigration, and long distance.

The project explores intimacy, trust, and the process of unlearning traditional relationship models. How much of what we believe a relationship should be is shaped by cultural scripts? What does it mean to question those, to depart from predetermined paths, and instead leap into the unknown—together?

Through this work, I seek to both witness and affirm—that our relationship is possible, real, and worth celebrating. The title, Happy Everything, comes from the long-distance reality of our lives: combining all holidays into one, every reunion becomes a celebration.
